1974 BMW R90/6 Hotrod - Sold to me rough and seized, I was happy to get it running and then surprised how well it ran. It received a lot of attention from Amol Cycles in Dumont, New Jersey, many decades ago!
The front received stiff springs, fork and triple braces and dual disk brakes. Motor has 45mm headers, supertrapp mufflers, 38mm Dellorto’s and a lightened flywheel. The heads are so beautifully machined and baby’s ass smooth. Of course it had Lester wheels too.
I decided to make it a cupboard special and added what I had, 3/4 seat, Ohlin shocks, aluminum fenders and yellow light.
The three-quarter seat is taller than the standard and the Ohlins shocks are a half inch taller, making the seat height likely 1 1/2 inches above stock. The combination should help lean angle and add weight on the front wheel.
