2004 Ducati Multistrada DS1000
I purchased this bike in 2007 from its original owner, who in 4 years had put 650 miles on it. He was scared of it and told me every time he got on it, he thought he was going to die. Purchased 100 miles from home, I rode it home and hated it. The original small windscreen buffeted the wind poorly that hit me mid-chest. Getting off I thought I would sell it and then decided to sleep on it. In the morning I decided to put the largest screen on it I could find and try it again. It was wonderful and I rode it almost everyday for the next 8 years.
Originally it came with grey wheels, these were changed to black. An Arrow exhaust, Corbin seat and PIAA light system were all added. I added 20,000 miles to the bike, rode the Blue Ridge Parkway twice and had so much fun with it. It had hard bags, and with sport times was great in the turns.
